Anti-Skidding Double Bowl Feeder

The description says this is best for small dogs and cats. We have a standard poodle. Why did I buy this? We have a 22' travel van. We needed a food and water set-up that wouldn't be tipped over, stepped on, or slide around. This little unit fits perfectly behind the passenger seat where it is out of the way when humans are walking around/coming or going out the sliding door; is easily accessible for the pup and holds enough water and food (bowls can be refilled more often as needed).

I actually bought this for my cat because he eats dry food and always spits a little of the food onto the floor making a big mess. so now when he throws the food off the plate it lands on the plastic part and I can easily just pick it up toss the little pieces in the garage without sweeping the floor. I like the size of the bowls for food but I find they are too small for water so I only use one of the bowls it came with for cat food and a different bigger bowl that I have for the water. Overall, it works for me.

My dachshund would always slide his food bowl around to try to hide it. He’d also push food out of the bowl with his nose. It was annoying and made a big mess.
These bowls definitely help, although the mat does still slide a bit. Most of the kibble he knocks out stays on the rubber mat though.

I bought this feeding set because the mat has a lip that lets me surround the bowls with water -- an essential factor in keeping ants out of the food. I wish the lip were a little deeper, but so far, this has been the best option I've found.

The mat washes off easily. I am very happy with this purchase.
